Who It’s Best For
About the tool
Replit is a cloud platform from Replit, Inc. for building and publishing software with AI. You describe what you want in plain language, and Replit Agent plans the work, writes the code, sets up a database and lets you test the result in a live preview, then publishes it as a web or mobile app with one click. Besides apps, it can create websites, landing pages, data visualizations, slide decks and animated videos, and Design Canvas lets you explore visual ideas before turning them into a working project. Agent runs in three modes: Free Mode for everyday work within an allowance, and Power and Max modes for harder tasks, which use credits and are billed by effort, with Replit asking before a paid action starts. Plan Mode lets you map out work without changing code, checkpoints let you roll back, and connectors and MCP servers link Agent to services such as Google and Stripe. Replit also hosts what you build, with autoscale and reserved deployments, PostgreSQL databases and app storage billed by usage, and teams can work together in shared Workspaces with up to 15 builders on Pro. The free Starter plan includes daily Agent credits, Lite build and one published app that stays online for 30 days. Core costs $20 a month, or $18 a month billed yearly, and adds full Agent builds, unlimited published apps, connectors, up to 5 collaborators and $20 of monthly credits for more powerful models. Pro starts at $100 a month with $100 of credits, credit rollover, 15 builders and priority support, and Enterprise adds SSO, audit logs and governance controls at a custom price. It suits developers, founders and product teams who want to go from idea to a hosted app in one place.
