This policy explains what personal data AITL (Artificial Intelligence Tools List) collects at www.artificialintelligencetoolslist.com, why we use it, and what choices you have.
Who we are
The data controller is AITL, a company based in Europe. For anything related to your data, write to info@artificialintelligencetoolslist.com.
What we collect
- Email subscriptions: your email address when you subscribe to AITL emails.
- Tool submissions: your name, email, location, company or role (optional), and details about the product, including its website, description and logo. If you ask for a Featured listing, we also collect your tagline and any offer for subscribers.
- Contact messages: your name, email, phone number (optional), subject and message.
- Payments for Featured listings: the billing and contact details needed to take payment and keep records. Payments are made through PayPal, Stripe or Bitcoin. We do not receive or store your full card details. Bitcoin transactions, including wallet addresses and amounts, are permanently recorded on a public blockchain and cannot be deleted by us or anyone else.
- On-site questions: if we show a form or a short question, for example asking for your email or what you are looking for, we collect the answers you choose to give. Answering is optional.
- Usage and device data: pages visited, clicks, scrolling, referring site, approximate location, browser and device type, and IP address. Microsoft Clarity also creates heatmaps and session replays that show how visitors use our pages.
Why we use your data
- Sending you AITL emails, including new tools and promotions for Featured tools. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Reviewing submissions, listing tools and emailing you about your submission. Legal basis: the steps you asked us to take, and our legitimate interest in running the directory.
- Replying to your messages. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you.
- Providing Featured listings and taking payment. Legal basis: our contract with you.
- Keeping invoices and accounting records. Legal basis: our legal obligations.
- Understanding how the site is used, improving it, measuring what visitors look for, and protecting it from spam and abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running and improving the site.
Cookies and measurement tools
We use the following tools, which may store cookies or similar data on your device:
- Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager: to measure traffic and how the site is used.
- Microsoft Clarity: for behavioral metrics, heatmaps and session replays. Microsoft may use this data as described in its privacy statement.
- Cloudflare Turnstile: to protect our forms from spam and automated abuse.
Some pages also show images and badges hosted by other sites, which can see your IP address when your browser loads them.
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. You can also object to this measurement by writing to us.
Who receives your data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run AITL:
- Webflow, for hosting the site and receiving form submissions.
- Google, for email, spreadsheets, file storage, analytics and tag management.
- Airtable, for keeping our product records.
- Microsoft, through Clarity.
- Cloudflare, for form protection.
- PayPal and Stripe, for payments.
- The email and on-site form tools we use to contact you and collect your answers.
- AI assistants that help us review submissions and manage listings.
We may also disclose data when the law requires it, or to protect our rights.
Your product details are meant to be public. If your tool is listed, its name, description, logo and links appear on the site. Your personal contact details do not.
International transfers
Some of these providers process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. When they do, the transfer relies on safeguards such as an adequacy decision or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep your data
- Email subscriptions: until you unsubscribe. We then keep your address on a do-not-contact list, only so that we do not email you again.
- Listed tools: until the tool is delisted.
- Submissions that are not listed: 24 months after our decision.
- Contact messages: 24 months after the conversation ends.
- Invoices and payment records: as long as accounting and tax law requires.
- Usage data: for the period set in each tool's settings or terms.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you access to your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its use or send it to you in a portable format. You can also object to uses based on legitimate interest, and withdraw consent at any time without affecting what happened before.
To use these rights, write to info@artificialintelligencetoolslist.com. We reply within one month.
You can also complain to the data protection authority in the country where you live or work.
Unsubscribing
Every AITL email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also write to us and we will remove you.

AITL is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. Products marked 18+ are intended for adults only. If you think a child has given us data, please write to us and we will delete it.
Security
We limit access to personal data and use providers with established security practices. No online service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
